Landscape and Location
Today, New York is a concrete jungle with some hills but mainly full of skyscrapers and some of the most famous buildings and landmarks in the world. But long ago, around 1609, New York would have been a salty swap with dense vegetation. The land is, and was relatively flat. In the very center of New York (New York City) the Hudson River and the Atlantic Ocean meet making it the perfect place for ship trade and the flat landscape made a perfect place to build one of the most important cities in the world.
